NetApp ONTAP Complete Training Course

Featured Video Play Icon

My ‘NetApp Storage Clustered Data ONTAP Complete’ course features over 22 hours of High Definition video tutorials, live lab demos and quizzes and covers everything you need to know about NetApp ONTAP.

I explain each topic with a detailed tutorial first, and then show you how to implement it with a live demo using both the GUI and command line. I’ve used the same setup as laid out in my ‘How to Build a NetApp Lab’ eBook so you can easily follow along with me in the lab. This way you get the full theoretical and practical knowledge of the technology.

I go through the complete configuration of the system in a logical manner, from taking it out of the box to the final tweaks to ensure best performance and availability, and covering off all the NetApp features along the way.

You see what I mean about it covering everything? 🙂

Don’t worry if the amount of content seems daunting. The course is laid out in such a way that you can watch it from start to finish, or just dip in and out to learn the topics you need.

So whether you want to become a fully-fledged NetApp ninja and NCDA NetApp Certified Data Administrator (the de facto storage industry certification), or just brush up on the NetApp features as and when you need them, I’ve got you covered.

Okay so now I’ve got your attention you’re probably wondering how much this is going to cost. To get this level of training anywhere else you’d need to sit in a classroom and pay upwards of $5k. That’s not an inflated figure, I work in the training industry so I know.

I’m offering my course for just $195 USD.

Now I know that $195 is still a lot of money, so that’s why I suggest speaking to your manager at work. This training will significantly boost your value to the business, and any manager I’ve ever worked for would agree to pay $195 for this quality of training in a heartbeat. This investment in you is a no brainer for your company.

Q. Who is the ‘NetApp Storage Clustered Data ONTAP Complete’ course for?

The NetApp course is for IT professionals or students who fall into any of these categories:

  • Want to achieve an expert level in storage technology. The course teaches from a complete beginner level through to advanced knowledge of and configuration skills on NetApp systems.
  • Want to pass the NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) exam. This is the de facto qualification in the storage industry and will prove your skills to employers
  • Have a NetApp ONTAP storage system and want a practical reference for understanding and configuring its features.

Q. Is the course right for me?

I could go on and on about why I think my course is the best NetApp training resource available, but instead I’ll let you hear from some of my students who’ve already enrolled.

The course has achieved an absolutely stellar 4.98 out of 5 rating from student reviews.

You can see all the reviews by scrolling to the bottom of the course page. Udemy enforces stringent quality checks to ensure all reviews are genuine.

Q. Is there an easy way to pay for the course?

Ask your manager at work if they can pay for it or if you can put it on expenses. Seriously, $195 is an insanely low price for this training. Your workplace is used to paying $5000 to send you on a training course and they have to cover your absence for a week. My course includes way more content than you’d get in a classroom, it doesn’t take you away from your desk for a week… and it costs $195. No brainer.

Q. Why would I take training from you?

I am a full-time professional instructor who has been entrusted by NetApp since 2007 to develop and deliver training courses for their own engineers and partners. I have also designed multiple training courses for the largest service providers in Asia Pacific such as Verizon, Telstra, and the Australian National Broadband Network. I provide mentoring and support for my company’s systems engineers as they deploy NetApp storage systems and I worked in the field for over ten years before focusing on passing my knowledge on to others.

Q. What if I have any questions during the course?

Ask away, I’m always here to help. There is an ‘Ask a Question’ tab specifically for this in the course and unless I’m on an international flight I’ll answer the same day.

Q. How long do I have access to the course for?

You have access to the course forever, your enrolment never expires. And you have access to me for as long as I’m still breathing, I genuinely love to help.

Q. What if I buy the course and realise it is not for me?

The course comes with an unconditional risk-free 30 day money-back guarantee – that’s my personal promise of your success.

Q. Is the course worth it?

Let’s break it down…

  • The course contains over 22 hours of High Definition video tutorials, live lab demos and quizzes and covers everything you need to know about NetApp Clustered Data ONTAP.
  • I cover the complete configuration of the system in a logical manner, from taking it out of the box to the final tweaks to ensure best performance and availability, and covering off all the NetApp features as we go. You can watch the course from start to finish or pick and choose the topics you need to know.
  • If a comparable course were available in the classroom it would cost you over $5000. And when it was over you couldn’t experience the tutorials again or ask the instructor any more questions.
  • I’m offering the course for $195. Yours to access forever.

That is INSANE value!

    Hello Neil,
This is Vinay here from India. I have 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence – Informatica. After which I quit to do an ecommerce business (2 years now) selling through Amazon and flipkart, however, things didnt materialize well. I am looking to get back to the IT Industry, and want to start fresh. My question to you is, will this Netapp course help me in getting a job? Will I be considered a fresher? since I don’t have any experience with Netapp, and I do not want to go back to Informatica again. Appreciate your valuable suggestions and guidance. Thanks, Vinay

      Hi Vinay,

Because you already have experience with Informatica you won’t be considered a fresher in the industry. It would be hard to find work explicitly as a dedicated NetApp storage administrator with no NetApp experience, but NetApp knowledge will help you get a job as a data center or cloud engineer as we’re expected to have skills on servers, networking and storage now. Employers will see your storage expertise as a big plus, particularly when you can add it to experience on servers or networking.

    Hi Neil,

I have worked on SAN and would like to attend your course. However, I have never worked on NAS. I would like to know do we get the soft copies for this training? Your quick response will be greatly appreciated.
